Client Success Story: Stauffer Funeral Home
For more than 45 years, Stauffer Funeral Home has been providing funeral arrangements and services for the Frederick community. Their funeral home originally utilized an analog audio system that we installed more than a decade ago. The system is used to route audio, like background music or services, to different areas within the building. At the time of installation, the system was intuitive, easy to use, and cutting-edge technology. Since that time, technology has evolved, and new products have become available to make systems like this easier to use.
We started by upgrading the digital signal processor and a control system that we installed ten years ago. Now, routing audio from one room to another is as simple as pushing a button, and the touchscreen panel upgrade is extremely user friendly. The staff can simply choose the room or rooms where they need audio and the system does the rest. AVG utilized the great processing power from a QSC Core 110F digital signal processor and the elegance of an Extron touch panel and IP based control system.
Another benefit to the upgraded system is the ability to record services within the funeral home. With additional video technology installed within the facility, services can be recorded for family members who can’t attend the service, or just for keepsake purposes.
Once the overall system and controls were updated, it was time to upgrade the funeral home’s existing speakers and components, installing more advanced models. The new speaker setup makes audio clearer and easier to understand, and give the employees at Stauffer Funeral Home control over levels and volume throughout the facility.
By thinking outside the box to develop a customized system, AVG improved the audio quality within the facility, and gave the funeral home staff more control over the audio during services.
