Frederick Rescue Mission Call for Donations

Donation Drive to Support Frederick Rescue Mission: Help Us Keep Our Community Warm

As the holiday season approaches and temperatures drop, we need to make sure everyone in our community is warm and well-fed. Audio-Video Group is founded in service, philanthropy, and giving back to the community that has been so supportive to us over the years.

We quietly celebrated our 20th anniversary in March of this year and took the occasion to look back over two decades of our evolution in service to our clients, our team, and our community. Everything we do as a company stems from our mantra, “Sharing Voice and Vision.” To achieve this, we focus on relationships, performing with integrity, and helping people and organizations through service.

We know that all of you care about our community, too, so we are making it easy for you to participate in helping those in need during this season of giving.

The Frederick Rescue Mission is in great need of winter apparel. We’ve got a dropbox set up outside our office, or you can send coats, hats, and gloves directly to our office with the line Attn: Donation Drive.

Here is how you can donate to the Frederick Rescue Mission Drive:

  1. Shop for winter coats (especially 2XL), gloves, and hats
  2. Please leave your donations in the box outside our office in the donation box at 8415 Progress Drive, Suite G, Frederick, MD 21701
  3. The box will be outside M-F 8 AM-5 PM.
  4. The cut off for donations is 12/31

The Frederick Rescue Mission provides daily service of breakfast and lunch to all who are hungry, groceries to supplement their weekly food supply, clothing for all sizes and genders, a residential recovery program for men, and a shelter program for women and women with children experiencing homelessness.

How We Help

Audio-Video Group has participated in and donated to many important community efforts. Among them are providing A/V support to the Downtown Frederick Partnership events, like Alive @ 5, for nearly 20 years. In addition to providing support through service and virtual events in 2020, we fiscally contribute to many organizations in the area. Along with the winter items, we also donated 4,500 compostable containers to the Frederick Rescue Mission.

These organizations do important work to promote cultural, health, and economic growth in our community, and we want to see them thrive.

We also leveraged our ability to provide tech support to the Heartly House and Mental Health Association, local organizations that obtain most of their budget through their yearly fundraisers. To ensure they could raise money and bring their community together, we helped them transfer their events to the virtual space and fundraise successfully.

Our president, Eric Johnson, is a committed Rotarian, through which he engages in many service projects every year. He also serves on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce and on the Order of the Good Samaritan, through which he supports Frederick Health.

As a company with a steadfast commitment to the community, we try to help when we see a need. Last year, Eric was struck by the need of the local Religious Coalition and organized a donation drive, which Audio-Video Group promoted through email and social media with astounding results.

“My goal for the future of Audio-Video Group is to continue to live our values, provide an opportunity for our team, and to serve our customers, and expand the support we can give to our wonderful community,” Eric Johnson, President of Audio-Video Group said.

Thank you for being a critical part of our community, especially during this challenging year. We appreciate you.
