How to Manage Overflow in Stage One Reopening

With Maryland set to enter stage one reopening, everyone will have questions about which businesses can re-open and how to do that safely. In particular, houses of worship will want to begin providing more in-person services without risking their parishioners’ health. At Audio-Video Group we have budget-friendly technology that can help.

First, it is important to know that because of the community-based approach to Governor Hogan’s amended executive order, not every county is set to re-open on the same schedule. Some, including Frederick County, is not ready to loosen restrictions. If you are not sure whether your county will be entering stage one, check your local news source.

The amended executive order changes the stay-at-home order to a safer-at-home advisory, which means that Marylanders are encouraged to stay home as much as possible. Wearing masks in public and frequent hand sanitization remains key to keeping the curve flattened.

We know that many religious leaders are eager to see their parishioners again but don’t want to risk their health. The amended order states that churches cannot fill past 50% of their maximum capacity in order to allow enough physical distance between people to help prevent virus transmission.

Some church leaders may choose not to reopen their doors quite yet, and instead continue other forms of worship, including live streaming. For those in counties entering stage one and who want to manage to operate at 50% capacity, we can help give your parishioners the confidence that they will be safe, and that they will be able to see, hear, and understand your message.

We can help you implement safe social distancing strategies with a wide spectrum of offerings to meet your budget and individual needs. From rental equipment to long-term setups, Audio-Video Group has the equipment available to help. You might consider whether live-streaming your services might be of long-term use, especially to parishioners who might have health concerns that prevent them from coming to services in the future. Or, you may want the short-term ability to broadcast your message to parishioners who drive up for services to watch and listen to in the church parking lot.

Our wide spectrum of offerings means we can customize the precise solution you will need to keep your community safe while connecting with them and spreading your message of hope. Contact us today for more information.
