Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series: July 2016

Downtown Frederick Partnership’s got another unique lineup of bands coming to the Creek in July for the Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series. We’ll have the best seat in the house all summer from our audio tent! Here’s the rundown of bands coming to the Creek in July.

Tuesday, July 5, 2016 | 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Opener – Kris Dove & the Lonesomes
Since early 2015, Kris Dove & the Lonesomes have been performing all over the D.C. Metro area. Whether they’re covering your favorite country classics or bringing you to the dance floor with foot stomping dance tunes, you’ll enjoy their sounds.

Headliner – Logan Brill
Growing up in a house full of music, 25-year-old Logan Brill has been performing since her preschool days. By combining her stunning voice and passion for all things music, this Knoxville native’s songs range from gritty blues and country to roots and ballads.

Tuesday, July 12, 2016 | 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Opener – Mark DeRose & Dreadnought Brigade
Mark DeRose has opened for an impressive list of national touring artists, has performed as part of an NFL halftime show, and has had his music played on daytime television. With The Dreadnought Brigade behind him, their music channels Mark’s love for rootsy, soul music and classic rock. The band’s high-energy performance will leave you feeling good.

Headliner – The Railsplitters
The impressive combination of songwriting, vocals, and cohesive instrumentals brings a unique sound to this Colorado native band. Though they operate with the instrumentation of a bluegrass band, The Railsplitters make music that is completely their own.

Opener – Mr. Jon and Friends

Mr. Jon and Friends’ music is all about fun, movement, and laughter. This Parents’ Choice Award winning music is perfect for kids and their families.

Headliner – CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band
This Creole-born artist pulls from his upbringing in an indigenous American culture to create his unique, soulful sounds. With his accordion in hand, Grammy®-nominated artist CJ Chenier has performed alongside many internationally recognized artists.

Tuesday, July 26, 2016 | 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Opener – Kyle Cox
With his relatable, lyric-driven songs, Kyle Cox draws influence from songwriting greats like Willie Nelson and John Prine. The Nashville-based artist connects with his audience on a deep level and leaves his listeners wanting more.

Headliner – Christian Lopez Band
Christian Lopez epitomizes the soul of a traditional Appalachian folk musician. The young artist emulates the sound produced by the region’s resident pickers and strummers and tackles themes of love, perseverance, and coming of age.
