Frederick Memorial Hospital Roundup

With a wide range of services—from A/V installations and equipment servicing, to day-of event coordination and rentals—we find that many of our clients stick with us for years, utilizing our varying services for different occasions. One of those clients is Frederick Memorial Hospital. For years we’ve worked with the hospital for installations and event rentals, and even joined their Corporate Honor Roll program in 2016. Here’s a look back on some of our favorite FMH projects!

FMH James M. Stockman Cancer Institute Groundbreaking

In March of 2016, Frederick Memorial Hospital broke ground on a $21 million expansion of their award-winning oncology program in order to offer more comprehensive cancer care for patients. AVG was on site to provide power generators, a tent to hold the 200+ attendees, audio and video equipment, lighting, video coordination, media press feeds, and more. Planning the outdoor event required some creative thinking, but AVG’s experience helped the event go off without a hitch.

FMH Executive Boardroom Revamp

Later in 2017, FMH constructed a new executive boardroom and hired AVG to install updated audio and video equipment. They started by installing a complete A/V system for audio and video teleconferencing, HD displays for video conferencing, a projector and screen for large-scale presentations, and an array of speakers and microphones. To accommodate the variety of meetings held in this room, AVG increased the boardroom’s B.Y.O.D. (bring your own device) capabilities with improved wireless connectivity and more outlets. The shining star of this project was the real wood, custom veneer encasing for the room’s 90-inch display that acts as the centerpiece of the room.

FMH James M. Stockman Cancer Institute Ribbon Cutting

In July of 2017, the doors to the James M. Stockman Cancer Institute officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the facility on Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, and Audio-Video Group coordinated the event’s rental needs. AVG supplied A/V equipment; several tents to house guest speakers, food, music, and cocktail tables; power; lighting; staging; and a few additional rental components to create a complete event experience. AVG also provided coordination for the day of the event, acting as the main point of contact for the other event vendors.
