Make Your Conference Call Better!

Most businesses, no matter the industry, take advantage of conference calls or virtual meetings on a regular basis. Believe it or not, but conference calls, in some form, have been around since the early 1900s. Luckily, we’ve come a long way since then in terms of technology. Apps and internet services have made this process much easier, but they’re useless if your equipment is outdated and outside distractions dominate the call. Here are a few things to consider when planning for your conference call equipment. 360-degree room microphone coverage One of the best ways to improve your conference calls is…

Make Your Projector Better!

Raise your hand if your office, school, or place of worship has a projector. If your hand isn’t up, this might not be the article for you. But, we’re guessing that most of you raised your hand. Projectors have quickly become one of the leading pieces of tech for most industries, making presentations, lessons, and services more interactive and accessible. Now, raise your hand if you’ve ever had a lamp burn out in the middle of a big presentation. Or, better yet, been the person responsible for climbing a ladder to reach the ceiling to change said lamp. That is,…

Eliminating Distractions: Easter Service Edition

Over the years, I have learned many valuable lessons about planning and taking necessary steps to make sure that it’s “all systems go” for Easter weekends. I have always said to myself and to my teams that technology can be…

Mic check!

With new regulations from the FCC, certain wireless microphones and other instrument systems will be illegal to use after July 13, 2020. My Own Worst Customer

By: Eric Johnson, AVG President Earlier this year, I had the misfortune of clipping a deer with my truck. There was no significant or debilitating damage, so repair was not an urgent matter. However, a couple weeks later, when my neighbors decided to make some additional “cosmetic alterations” to my truck (with their car), I decided it was time to seek pricing for the bodywork. As I shopped around for pricing at several different providers, my mind immediately started down the dark path of focusing on the dollars and cents. Those dangerous tendencies of human nature led me from rationally…
